Surprise!

Surprise!! We pulled it off...yahoo! Big surprise 80th birthday party for Papa. We thought for sure he would find out. But he was surprised all the way around. John's brother from Michigan came out to help with the party. Lots of Papa's friends, neighbors and family were there to wish him a Happy Birthday. The biggest surprise came when his cousins from New Zealand came out of the other room and gave Papa a shock. :) It was great. We all had a great time....lots of food and a fun video that my son put together. Crazy cards and gifts. Just a fun day! So glad it worked. Happy Birthday Papa....we love you!

As Promised

Here is the Family Banner/Mini Book that I mentioned in a previous post. It is a project that I made for Paper Vineyard. I had wanted to create a banner but when I thought about having one myself, I knew it was something that I wouldn't want to hang up forever. So I came up with the idea of making it convert into a mini book. This way you can decorate it for a special occasion, be it birthday, anniversary, graduation...whatever, then when the festivities are over you can connect it together with the rings on the ends and you have a great little mini book that you can save to remember the event. Photos and notes can be added before or after. Both sides are decorated so it hangs nicely and converts well. Works out perfectly. I am very happy with the project and am looking forward to teaching the class. Please visit the website to see the date it will be available and sign up. I would love to have you join me!

Amazing!

Amazing...that is what "Wicked" was. Loved it! I am so glad that no one had spoiled it for me ahead of time. I only knew that it was from the witches perspective and nothing more. So to have the story line revealed was truly magical. Totally ready to go see it again. I loved the plot, the songs, the twists and turns. Loved it!

It's Wicked

My son and I are off to see the play "Wicked". So excited. We have great seats and lots of reasons to celebrate. We are joining some good friends. It's going to be a great day.
Just can't wait! :)

Over the next few months at Paper Vineyard
we have some exciting classes lined up. Two guest artists will be joining us! The first photo here is the work of the marvelous Mike Putman
He will be teaching his beeswax class. It is a new genre to Paper Vineyard and one that we are anxious to jump into.

She will be teaching her Summer Days Book.

Both classes promise to be full of fun and new techniques. Can't wait!

We are going to celebrate my mom's 87th birthday and my parent's anniversary (67 years!) today. It will be fun to have everyone together.
