Almost Ready!

I am almost ready for the bridal shower! It is going to be so much fun. Obviously the theme is "Asian" and I decided to run with it. And I must say I am having a blast pulling it all together. I am so excited for Sabrina to see it all.
Below is the table scape that I am going for.
Well I am off to put the finishing touches on things. More photos to follow! :)

Whirling & Twirling

So like my head right now...whirling and twirling with ideas, I am sure this post will skip from one thing to another. But that's OK. :) Starting off...we had an impromptu class on Thursday for 4 ladies that were interested in the Vintage Valentine wall hanging but couldn't make it on Feb 13th. The two lovely ladies in the photo are Cindy & her sister Jodean. Two wonderful women that I have met through working at PV. They are about as sweet as they come. Also in class was Lois, who didn't want her photo taken, but trust me, did a great job on her project. Lois is a favorite at PV. :) And lastly we had Melissa. She was new to PV and I think she really enjoyed herself. She completed her project and seemed to love the process. We are so glad she found us and are looking forward to having her back.

The photo above is of just a couple of the robins that visited our yard the other night. It was so cool. My husband and I were sitting out back by the pool when we noticed some robins...then a few more and a few more. Before we knew it our yard was literally full of big, fat red robins. We just never see those here. It was quite a treat. I am sure they were on their way somewhere, hopefully not back to the midwest just yet as they will be sorely disappointed since it is still so dang cold there.
But we enjoyed having them visit that is for sure!

The next photo is of the new path that now leads from the driveway to the back patio. We didn't really think that we would be finishing that before the wedding. But we were surprised by our neighbor who brought us all the flagstone from up north the other day...what a great surprise! My husband and son worked on it last Sunday and I think they did a wonderful job. Looks great!

The photos above and below were taken from the internet during one of my many sessions of cruising for ideas. With a backyard wedding quickly approaching my mind is full of ideas. It is just so much fun!!

Lastly, this photo includes a few ideas we are tossing around for decorations. So with so much to do today I am off and running. Meeting with my future daughter-in-law to print invitations. How cool is that!!! Enjoy your Saturday!

Vintage Love

Just a quick post to show another class. I went a little out of my comfort zone with this one. I don't usually do anything with much vintage flair to it. But it was fun!. I like how it turned out and really hope others do too. Both this and the "boy" book will be on the same day at Paper Vineyard. Saturday Feb 13th. Just in time to share a little love!

We are finally drying out a bit here. The storms this week were awesome. I love the rain! Although right now my husband isn't too thrilled as he is scooping out enough leaves from our pool to cover an entire tree!! lol

Have a great weekend!

Boys Rule!

One of the upcoming classes at Paper Vineyard that I will be teaching. I am really looking forward to it. I think sometimes boys get left behind when it comes to scrapbooking. Little Yellow Bicycle has come out with a great new line that really hits home with everything "boy"! Great colors and some fun embellishments. There is so much that you can add to this book to push it even further. Definitely going to be fun!

Soldering Fun!

I took a class at Mystic Paper yesterday with Josie. What a fun class it was! We learned basic soldering skills using glass, found objects and such. I have been wanting to take this class for quite some time and just put it off. I am so glad that I went ahead and signed up. Josie is a wonderful teacher and I learned so much. I did go ahead and get the supplies I would need to make more. I can definitely see myself taking this little hobby further. I do need lots of practice but for a first attempt my project wasn't too bad. :P

I do have more photos to take of upcoming classes at Paper Vineyard also. I will try to get those posted tomorrow. There is a fun "boy" mini book and a vintage Valentine board that turned out nicely. Both should be fun classes.

All in all yesterday was a good day except for the poor Cardinals! So very sad...my husband is in mourning today. Hopefully Kurt Warner will continue another year and we can go for it one more time.

Well enjoy your Sunday everyone!

WOW

Can I just say...Amazing Game!!!

Full House

Well I tried to upload photos yesterday but blogger was having a few issues. Even today it wouldn't let me do more than one at a time. So...two it is. :)

Yesterday the class at Paper Vineyard went really well. We had a full house...and people on a waiting list. How cool is that! The ladies all completed their projects and had a good time in the process. Yippee! We tried a new teaching technique using the overhead projector & photos of the project. It worked out OK but next time we will get a cord to hook it up to the big screen TV. This way when the classes are larger everyone can see the sample a bit easier. Always looking for ways to improve. :) Thanks to all the ladies that took the class yesterday! I had a great time.

Last night my husband and I took Papa Wish to see our oldest son's new apartment. I think he was pleasantly surprised at how nice it is. And Jonathan is so excited to be there. Even Dexter has settled in very well. Sabrina can hardly wait to be there too. But April will be here before we know it. And in the meantime she can add her touches and start decorating...something my son won't do. haha

So it is Sunday already and it seems not enough time in the week to get everything done. Going to try to check a few things off my list. Happy Sunday! Enjoy your day.
