A Worthy Cause

I recently found this site online that sells beautiful handmade necklaces & bracelets. They are actually rolled pieces of paper. The cool part is that the proceeds go to support some amazing women in Uganda. These women have been displaced in Northern Uganda and the sale of their handmade jewelry give them a way to support their family. With the help of a few women here in the States that traveled to Uganda & decided to make a difference, this website was born to aid the women of Uganda in their effort to make a life for their families. Back At It

It took a little while but I finally jumped back into scrapbooking layouts. I am working on my vacation album and enjoying reliving the moments. What an amazing vacation it was!! So grateful for the opportunity to go to the Dominican Republic. Definitely not a trip we will soon forget!
And now that I have a few pages complete the rest will just roll along. It seems it is always the first few that are hard to get started.

Recently I was asked by some ladies new to scrapbooking if I would host a class in my home. Hmmm....intriguing. My mind started to spin with ideas. They requested that it not be a Christmas theme but just a general scrapbooking theme. So...that is what I did. I tried to keep it simple but have enough variety to keep it fun. I am so looking forward to this class!!!! What a great way to share two of my favorite things to do: Throw a party! and Teach scrapbooking!

What Encourages You?

Time for another Art Journal Prompt from Rebecca & Liz. Well...maybe a little over-due but here it is just the same. :)
This week was : "What Encourages You?" with the medium being: Paint
I experimented a little again using acrylic with water color. I even threw a little pastel in there at the end. It turned out alright. I stenciled again with a much better result this time. It was a fun process. Always relaxing.

Catching Up
